GETTING HERE
Kaslo is situated in south-eastern British Columbia, Canada. The village sits on the shores of Kootenay Lake between the Selkirk and Purcell Mountain Ranges.
From Nelson: Follow Hwy. 3A northeast toward Balfour, Ainsworth and Kaslo. At Balfour, continue straight on Hwy 31 to Kaslo.
From Hwy. 3 East: Follow Hwy. 3 to Creston. At Creston, go north on Hwy. 3A to the Ferry at Kootenay Bay. Take the Ferry across Kootenay Lake to Balfour. After exiting the ferry, turn right onto Hwy. 31 toward Ainsworth and Kaslo.
From Hwy. 3 West: Follow Hwy 3 to Castlegar. At Castlegar take Hwy 6 north to Nelson. In Nelson follow Hwy. 3A northeast toward Balfour, Ainsworth and Kaslo. At Balfour, continue straight on Hwy 31 to Kaslo.
From Hwy. 1 East or West: Exit Hwy.1 to Hwy. 23 at Revelstoke. Follow Hwy. 23 south to Nakusp. At Nakusp take Hwy. 6 east to New Denver. At New Denver, turn left onto Hwy. 31A and follow to Kaslo.
From Kelowna:
- A. Follow Hwy. 97 North to Vernon. At Vernon turn east on Hwy. 6. Follow Hwy. 6 to Nakusp. At Nakusp, continue on Hwy. 6 toward Nelson/New Denver. At New Denver, turn left onto Hwy. 31A and follow to Kaslo.
- B. Follow Hwy. 97 South to Hwy. 3. Follow Hwy 3 to Castlegar. At Castlegar take Hwy. 6 north to Nelson. In Nelson follow Hwy. 3A northeast toward Balfour, Ainsworth and Kaslo. At Balfour, continue straight on Hwy 31 to Kaslo.
