Thank You for Another Wonderful Light Up!
Light Up remains one of Kaslo’s cherished community celebrations, made possible by the dedication and generosity of many.
A sincere thank you to the volunteers, local businesses, sponsors, performers, and community partners who contributed their time and energy to bring the event together. From planning and setup to festive activities and entertainment throughout the day, Light Up is truly a community-driven event.
We also extend our thanks to everyone who came out to celebrate. Your participation and enthusiasm are what make Light Up such a warm and welcoming tradition year after year.
The Kaslo & Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to organize this event and looks forward to continuing the tradition. We’re already excited to gather again on December 5, 2026.

Customer Appreciation Event
9 am – 7 pm | Front Street Market
20% off everything storewide! Excluding dairy, tobacco, and sale items.
Kaslo Christmas Faire
10 am – 3 pm | Kaslo Legion
Browse handmade goods, unique gifts, and local crafts—perfect for holiday shopping.
Holiday Hockey Game
12 pm – 1:30 pm
Cheer on the U13 Winterhawks vs. Wildcats at the arena.
Light Up at the Library
1 pm – 6 pm
Drop in for festive crafts, cookies, cocoa, and a chance to win a holiday storybook.
Children’s Scavenger Hunt
3 pm – 5 pm | Starting at BlueBelle Bistro
A fun downtown adventure for younger children (with adult accompaniment).
Every participant receives a seasonal book prize.
Waypoint Restaurant Light Up Happy Hour
3 pm – close (food until 9 pm, drinks later)

Cozy up by the bonfire and enjoy live music by Paris Pick and the Pricks starting at 5:15 pm and continuing after the parade.
Light Up Parade

A beloved Kaslo tradition.
Parade participants in vehicles should line up on Washington Street by 5:45 pm.
Walkers and riders line up on Third Street between A Ave and Front Street before 6:00 pm; the Parade Marshall will let you in.

🌟 Village Christmas Tree Lighting — New for 2025! 🌟
Immediately following the parade | Front Street Park
Join us for a beautiful new community tradition!
Right after the parade, we’ll gather to light the Village Christmas Tree for the very first time. Bring your family, meet your neighbours, and help us kick off the season with a shared moment of holiday magic.
A big thank you to the Village of Kaslo Public Works Department for setting up the tree and the very generous citizen who donated it!
Community Bonfire
6:20 pm – 8:30 pm | New Library Lot, top of Front Street
A warm and welcoming gathering for all.
Special thanks to Yogi Hincks for the firewood donation, Jana and James Kerswell for keeping the fire burning, and to the Kaslo Volunteer Fire Department for putting out the fire.
Santa’s Workshop
6:30 pm | Kaslo Youth Centre (404 Front Street)
Follow Santa from the parade to the Youth Centre for treats, photos, and festive fun.
